CALL FOR UNITY

Gen 11:6  The Lord said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them.

God requires the church to be one. There is no church or pastor, no matter how anointed or how large the church can be that is alone able to reach the entire population of the world.  In Gen 11:6 God gave testimony that they are one and in their unity nothing would stop them. We need a corporate anointing for a corporate result and for God to give a corporate testimony of our work. Remember God moved when he saw their unity.

Acts 2:46 says the early church were in one mind and one accord. Many miracles, signs and wonders were done through the hands of apostles and the church increased daily. The civil world noticed importance of unity and joined together to form bodies like United Nations, United States, United Kingdoms, etc. While churches and Christians are busy pulling at one another to destroy them.

SHALOM EVANGELISTIC GATHERING was formed together to gather all saints from all nations, tribes and colors of the world, not to build a tower, but to reach un-reached with wholesome messages.

2Co 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation…

2Co 5:19  To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

LONG TERM OBJECTIVES

  1. To carry out missionary work on Biblical basis. That is to say, to spread the gospel of Christ to all Nations that they may come to know the lord and be saved.
  2. To promote the creation of the local church centre which are self-governing, self-supporting and self-propagating and to foster unity and fellowship amongst a local church centre.
  3. To work towards the spiritual betterment and welfare of Christians, who have accepted Christian faith.
  4. To carry out charity work for the welfare of widows and orphans within the system.
  5. To establish and administer schools, hospitals, colleges and other social welfare institutions to train persons therein or elsewhere for purpose of missionary work.
  6. To publish and distributes books, magazines, newsletters, radio and TV programmes, audio and video materials and any other for the purpose of the achievements of the above stated objectives.
  7. To acquire funds and apply them toward the achievement of above stated objectives from well wishers. 

TEN COMMITMENTS

With the help of the Lord Jesus Christ. I commit to the following actions to the best of my ability. Any action may be difficult or challenging to fulfill. I am trusting the leadership of the Holy Spirit to help me.

  1. PRAYER
    Pray regularly that the kingdom of God may advance in the church and the nation. Pray for the churches and pastors in my city or community and the advancement of God’s kingdom in the world.
  2. UNITY
    Seek to keep unity in the local, city and national church. To work to prevent divisions, disunity and damage to the body of Christ and following God’s order for Government. To rise above any cultural tradition or form of tribalism that would hinder peace, unity and God’s order for all relationships as a Christians.
  3. CHARACTER
    To lead with character and integrity, nurturing honesty and morals values and behaviors beyond reproach.
  4. MARRIAGE
    To pursue oneness in my marriage, treating my spouse as my equal partner, seeking to elevate the role of the woman in the home, church and society. To embrace the truth and set the example that marriage is between one man and one woman only.
  5. FAMILY
    To place the proper priority on my family and their needs and development. To keep order of God first, family second and ministry third.
  6. STEWARDSHIP
    To pursue biblical economies concerning giving, tithing, management of funds, both for the church and life.
  7. NEXT GENERATION
    T0 rise up leaders for the next generation by giving them the responsibilities, release and authority to lead and build the church.
  8. TEAM LEADERSHIP
    To develop and lead the church with a team of leaders, promoting an atmosphere for each member to participate in leading where they are gifted.
  9. DISCIPLESHIP
    To be come a better disciple and steward in handling and communicating the word of God. To acquire more resources for personal and ministry growth and ongoing pursuit of the knowledge of God’s words and will.
  10. MISSION
    To establish and promote a culture in church for mission which includes a foreign outreach mandate.

I desire to help take the church to the next level by agreeing to these 10 commitments.
